The 2017 HALL Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful, age-worthy release that is already brilliant on its release. Shades of sandalwood and mocha, with tar and blackberry compote all combine aromatically in the glass. The palate is dense and plush, showing a soft, rich texture. Layers of blueberry pie and black tea, alongside Asian spices and mocha all artfully dance together on the palate. The long, gratifying finish accentuates this great new release. Already delicious in its youth, the 2017 HALL Cabernet Sauvignon will provide drinking enjoyment for another decade to come.

Fresh up front, with a beam of cassis and cherry preserve flavors leading the way, while sweet spice, singed vanilla and licorice root notes start to chime in on the back end. The finish is just a bit on the firm side. Best from 2021 through 2027. 27,275 cases made.

With just 1% Merlot, this bold red is plush, lush and brimming in black and red cherry. The ripe, fleshy and fruit-forward style is tempered by sweet tobacco and oak, a richly concentrated offering of substance and power.

Blended of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley sports a deep garnet-purple color, revealing notes on the nose of stewed plums, baked blackberries and Morello cherries plus wafts of tree bark, charcoal and cloves. Medium-bodied, the palate has lovely freshness and a good amount of black fruit preserves flavors, supported by chewy tannins and finishing savory.
