With Pinot Noir the fruit is always the primary focus. Each vineyard block is harvested as a separate parcel and treated individually at each stage of the winemaking process. This enables us to influence and enhance the wine using traditional winemaking techniques, adding subtlety and complexity. We use a combination of barrel and tank fermentation and mature the wine in a mix of new and older French oak. Oyster Bay Marlborough Pinot Noir is elegant cool climate Pinot Noir at its best. Fragrant, soft and flavourful with aromas of ripe cherries and sweet fruit tannins that provide structure and length.

An easy, light-bodied Pinot that combines ripe red berry and mushroom notes with savory spices. Acidity on the palate is bright and fresh, balancing ripe, plush berries. Tannins are virtually nonexistent.

Tangy raspberry, blood orange, spice and toasted herb notes are balanced and show a firm accent of strong black tea in the background. Drink now. 10,000 cases made, 8,100 cases imported.

The 2018 Pinot Noir features decent red-fruited notes of raspberries and cherries, but it lacks intensity and texture. It's light to medium-bodied, with an abbreviated finish.
