Trivento Amado Sur Malbec 2015
The 2015 Amado Sur combines 79% Malbec with 11% Bonarda and 10% Syrah and mixes grapes from Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo, the two main regions in Mendoza. Sixty percent of the volume was kept in concrete, and the rest matured in oak barrels. It's a blend they started in 2005 for the US, trying to show the Malbec with Bonarda from the east and Syrah from Valle de Uco, combining the dimension of the New World, the fruit and freshness and some more complexity with the blend. With soft tannins and a juicy texture, it is very approachable, easy to drink, clean, pleasant and precise. Gentle. It's produced in large quantities, so there's volume and quality. Lively for its age.
Juicy and full of zesty red fruit and spice flavors that are fringed by floral notes. Paprika accents show on the finish. Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah.
