Currently maturing in one-third new French oak, the 2022 Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the old, own-rooted vines planted in 1981. "We don't even have own-rooted vines in Burgundy anymore," says winemaker Guillaume Large. "So we're trying to keep these as long as possible without phylloxera." Its aromas unfurl slowly, segueing from cranberry sauce, rhubarb and aniseed to mushrooms, autumn leaves and wildflowers. The light-bodied palate features concentrated yet detailed flavors. It has a tea-like astringency, vibrant acidity and a long, dynamic finish. 1,400 cases are expected.
