Stewart Tartan Red Blend 2016
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
This blends 43% Merlot, 29% Malbec, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot from several vineyards, including Stagecoach and Brokenrock on Atlas Peak. It's a richly concentrated, rocky wine with bold flavors of dried cherry and plum, black pepper and leather, the grip of tannin is no joke.
Composed of 43% Merlot, 29% Malbec, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Red Blend Tartan gives up a wonderfully plummy nose with nuances of baking spices, bay leaves and stewed tea. Medium to full-bodied and laden with youthful, uncomplicated black fruits, it has a soft texture and lively lift to the finish.
