A perfumed nose of lime, tropical fruit, white blossoms and hints of grass and snow peas leads on this Sauvignon. A creamy texture adds interest on the palate but it's not enough to make up for the lack of flavor and short finish, leaving this wine feeling a little flat and characterless.
The Ibbotson Family's 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a solid effort in a challenging vintage, boasting ripe, tropical fruit aromas, hints of fig and melon and plenty of grapefruit flavors. It's medium-bodied, clean and refreshing, with a slightly abbreviated finish. Drink it this year.
