The 2022 Lewis Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay is a full-bodied wine with a creamy texture and a complex flavor profile that includes notes of baked stone fruit, tropical fruits, and spices like ginger and toffee. It is described as having a rich core of fruit, a long finish, and high acidity, with some critics praising its balance of richness and tension. It's considered a versatile wine that pairs well with various dishes, from seafood to chicken.

Rich and creamy, with buttery overtones to the nutmeg, salted hazelnut and praline notes, with ripe peach, apricot and melon flavors at the core. Despite the richness, fresh acidity keeps this wine light on its feet. Drink now. 1,800 cases made.

Made in a rich, super ripe style, Lewis's 2022 Chardonnay is a deep polished-brass color in the glass. Scents of caramelized pineapple and grilled peach mark the nose, while the full-bodied palate is viscous and almost syrupy in feel, only partially balanced by modest acidity. I found the overall result to be rather ponderous, though I'm sure it will have its fans.
