The 2021 Dogliani Superiore Siri D'Jermu takes on a bit more pigment and pours a rich purple. It is flush with fresh herbs, black plum, and menthol and is full-bodied but not heavy, with notes of black cherry, turned soil, and cracked pepper. It is more structured as well, with ripe tannins. Drink 2024-2030.

Notes of ripe and juicy dark berries with plum skins and spices, following through to a medium body with racy tannins and vivid acidity. Fresh and tangy with plenty of energy. A little salty at the end. Drink now.

This bright red is infused with violet, cherry and raspberry flavors, plus a flash of wild herbs. Firms up on the finish, where the fruit persists and a chalky sensation lingers. Shows fine balance and length. Drink now through 2030. 1,250 cases made, 300 cases imported.

A well-loved expression of Dolcetto (with 18,000 bottles made) that you often see in local restaurants, the Pecchenino 2021 Dogliani Superiore Sirì d'Jermu is a rich and hearty wine to pair with a pizza topped with spicy sausage. The wine flaunts food-friendly appeal with ripe blackberry, soft tannins and a spot of bright acidity. The presentation is simple but complete as far as Dolcetto goes.
