On the nose, a powerful black cherry element hits you first, but quickly gives way to abundant herbaceous aromas of soil, oregano, sage and thyme. The palate explodes with berries, but a slightly bitter orange peel undertone and a flinty earthiness provide balance. Acid swishes past firm, grippy tannins.
