Bright and fresh, showing unadorned star fruit and yellow plum notes laced liberally with verbena and honeysuckle. A nice zing of chalk pierces through and adds length on the finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2029. 1,000 cases made.

The 2022 Domaine De La Solitude (Pessac-Leognan) Blanc is largely Sauvignon Blanc, but 35% Sémillon in the blend brings plenty of richness and depth. Honeyed grapefruit, white flowers, and a kiss of chalky minerality all emerge from the glass, and this medium-bodied, vibrant, focused white is going to drink nicely right out of the gate.

The 2022 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc was picked from 22 August to 2 September. Orchard fruit, apricot and guava aromas furnish a nose that unfurls in the glass. The palate is well-balanced, with fine acidity and lots of energy. A dab of lemongrass lends spiciness toward the finish, with a sour lemon and lime twist on the aftertaste. Enjoy over the next decade.

The 2022 Blanc, a blend of 65% Sauvignon and 35% Sémillon, reveals aromas of pear, peach, mint and anise, followed by a medium-bodied, lively and direct palate.
