The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Legado, from the Maipo Valley, was aged for a year in barrels and foudres. Purplish red in the glass. The nose presents notes of black currant and blueberry at first, followed by gentle spicy layers. In the mouth, it's full of flavor with a terse texture, fine tannins and an easygoing flow.

This rich and refined red has decadently spiced dark cherry and plum flavors that show toasty accents. Ends with tar and mocha hints on the structured finish. Drink now through 2026. 5,500 cases made, 1,800 cases imported. — KM

The 2019 Legado Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from vines planted in Isla de Maipo between 1992 and 1998. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in used barriques and 5,000-liter oak foudres for 12 months. It has contained ripeness, 13.5% alcohol, integrated acidity and a soft palate with fine, varietal tannins. 46,388 bottles were filled in October 2020.
