Château Larose Trintaudon Haut Médoc 2018
|France, Bordeaux, Haut Medoc
|Château Larose Trintaudon
Dark and very intense colour of deep ruby. Ripe aromas of small black fruit dominate (blackcurrant, blackberry), though with good freshness. The palate is fleshy, with a nice touch of tannin. Long, caressing finish. To be watched during ageing, which will seek to bring out the harmony and the balance.
From one of the largest estates in the Médoc, this wine is packed with black-currant fruits and elegant tannins. Initially it seems light, but a core of structure and classic poise between fruit and tannin make the wine a candidate for aging. Drink from 2024.
Succulent cherry and black currant preserve flavors have good energy, picking up sweet tobacco, cedar and iron hints along the way. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2023. 70,000 cases made, 7,500 cases imported.
The 2018 Larose-Trintaudon has a simple, slightly rustic bouquet of ferrous-tinged red fruit and damp undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins, moderate depth and an approachable, cedar-tinged finish. Early drinking.
