King Estate Willamette Pinot Noir 2021
|United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley
This is a beautifully complex wine with elegant fruit and structure. Classic Pinot Noir aromas and flavors of dark fruit – black raspberry, marionberry, blueberry and ripe dark cherry – are joined by accents of black tea, clove, vanilla, toast, orange zest and forest floor. Supple tannins and bright acidity on the palate lead to a coating finish with lingering spiciness.
A wine with zest and verve, this fruit-forward red offers cherry and cranberry flavors laced with green tea and savory spices. Drink now through 2029. 37,000 cases made.
Blackberries and a floral combination of sweet pea and lilac are joined by a trace of wet rocks. This elegant nose in no way prepares you for the wine's brawn and its grippy tannins. There are flavors like black cherry and lime yearning to be free, but decanting may be in order.
