This is a well-made red, blended with 13% Merlot as well as small percentages of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Thick and concentrated, it develops in the glass to show a nice refinement of woody oak, dried herb, cedar and black cherry, offering great value and wide appeal.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and the rest Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. It's an outstanding wine, offering old school, complex notes of dried herbs, leather, spice box, and both red and black fruits in a charming, medium-bodied, balanced, satisfying style. Drink it over the coming 10-12 years or more.

Bella Union's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance a blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Aged 16 to 18 month in 40% new French oak, it offers up scents of mint, loamy earth, cherries and hints of baking spices. In the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and easygoing, with a nicely textured, silky feel on the finish. Rutherford fruit forms the backbone (50%) of the wine, with the balance selected from Calistoga, St. Helena and Oak Knoll.
