Sagrantino is a native varietal of Umbria, which, according to some, was brought to
the region by Franciscan monks centuries ago. In the last 30 years, Sagrantino
has enjoyed a resurgence in Umbria. Rich in tannins and polyphenols, elegant,
balanced wine. Sagrantino di Montefalco received the DOCG designation in the
1990s. The name “Memoira” recalls the memories of the land and the previous
Steeped raspberry, singed orange peel, black tea leaf and dark chocolate notes are bright and appealing in this silky red, which is tightly meshed with sculpted tannins and a spicy, mineral-driven underpinning, ending with a chewy finish. Drink now through 2035. 7,500 cases made, 750 cases imported.
