Dark and purple color, it has a very intense bouquet, with pure black cherry, crème de cassis and crushed violets. The palate has crisp acidity, quite tensile in the mouth and lively. One of the best succeed of Les Fiefs de Lagrange ever, vibrant wine well balanced.

Nicely focused, with a racy beam of cassis and dark plum fruit laced with violet and anise hints. Sleek finish has a tinge of singed wood at the very end. Approachable now. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2028. 17,500 cases made.

The 2019 Fiefs de Lagrange has an attractive nose, a mixture of red and black fruit, tobacco and subtle earthy aromas; the oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, not necessarily powerful, though delineated and with an almost citrus-fresh finish. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.
